Advanced Options

RF Microneedling

Our med spa in Tampa, FL, offers Secret RF microneedling, a microneedling treatment that uses tiny needles to penetrate the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy. This energy is converted into heat to stimulate collagen production and treat a wide range of concerns at various depths.

PDGF Microneedling

Our team can apply platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF) topically to your skin, then use microneedling to allow them to penetrate deep into your skin. PDGF accelerates skin repair and rejuvenation, improves tone, texture, and elasticity, reduces acne scars, fine lines, and pigmentation, and enhances overall skin radiance.

Supercharge Your Skin

  • SynergyMD in Tampa is overseen by a board-certified plastic surgeon and double board-certified dermatologist, so you can trust you’ll receive informed, quality care.
  • From wrinkles and stretch marks to acne scars and large pores, microneedling is a fast and effective option to smooth your skin and give it a younger look, whether you have a concern on the face or body.
  • Unlike procedures like laser therapy, microneedling is safe for a wide range of skin textures, tones, and types, making many patients good candidates.
  • Our double board-certified dermatologist can meet with you personally to discuss your concerns. He can then match you with your ideal treatment.

What Microneedling Can Treat

Microneedling can treat common concerns on the face, neck, abdomen, thighs, and other areas of the body. Many of our Tampa patients use it to:

  • Treat acne scars
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Slow hair loss
  • Correct uneven skin tone
  • Fade hyperpigmentation
  • Tighten large pores
  • Improve skin elasticity
  • Reduce scars and stretch marks
  • Heal sun damage

A Vibrant Complexion in an Hour

Microneedling is one of our most popular procedures because it’s a minimally invasive procedure that can treat multiple skin concerns. The procedure involves these steps:

Microneedling takes about 10-20 minutes to complete, and your entire appointment may take just one hour.
Microneedling takes about 10-20 minutes to complete, and your entire appointment may take just one hour.

Prep Skin

A member of our team will clean your skin and apply a topical numbing cream. This numbing cream will sit for 20-30 minutes until you’re comfortable. Then, we will sterilize the treatment area.

Microneedling

A hyaluronic acid serum or PDGF serum will be spread across the treatment area, and your esthetician will maneuver the sterile microneedling device across your skin. The device will make thousands of microchannels in your skin, allowing the serum to penetrate deep into your skin and triggering the production of collagen and elastin.

Return to Your Day

Once your treatment is complete, you can return to your normal activities as long as you keep your skin clean and stay out of the sun. You may be red and feel like you have a sunburn for about two days, but your treatment shouldn’t keep you from most of your regular activities.

Repeat

Some patients will require several microneedling sessions until they see the results they desire. You may also be advised to receive a periodic treatment to maintain your results. Our double board-certified dermatologist will let you know what your plan entails from the start.

FAQ About Microneedling in Tampa, FL

Is microneedling safe?

Yes. When performed by an experienced team in a facility overseen by a double board-certified dermatologist and board-certified plastic surgeon, microneedling is safe and effective. We follow strict safety protocols, use sterile devices, and customize treatment depth for your unique skin type and goals.

How many microneedling sessions will I need?

Most patients benefit from a series of 2–4 treatments, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, but this will depend on the depth and extent of your skin concerns. For example, deep acne scars will require more sessions than general rejuvenation. During your consultation in our Tampa office, we’ll design a treatment plan that fits your goals. With the right number of sessions and proper skincare afterward, you should see smoother, clearer, more youthful-looking skin.

“I’m loving my results!”

“I booked with Stephanie and it was the BEST decision! She was so personable and easy to talk to. For once I felt like I could be vulnerable and open about my skin goals and address some flaws I wanted to treat. She made me feel welcome and heard. I’m so grateful for that experience! I’m loving my results and I will be going back to Stephanie for all my skincare needs! I highly recommend her!” — Camry, 5-Star Review
